- Edge
Of Empire
Hadrian's Wall is the
most famous frontier of the greatest empire in the history of the ancient
world. It is also probably the most misunderstood archaeological monument in
Britain. In a fascinating journey along the 73 miles of the Roman wall,
World Heritage Site Eric Robson unravels some of the mysteries of 2,500
years of history. The story is not just in the stones that built the forts
and milecastles along the way but in the people. From Iron Age farmers and
diplomats to Roman shopkeepers and civil servants: from Imperial soldiers
bred in North Britain to dark ages protection racketeers and border reivers.
The frontier that the Emperor Hadrian created is with us still.

- Homeopathy
Homeopathy, one of the most gentle and natural forms of
healing, is a holistic therapy which does not attempt to merely eliminate
symptoms but treats the whole person and the underlying cause of the
problem. The word "homeopathic" comes from ancient Greek and means
"similar suffering", the principal that homeopathic medicine is
based on. German physician and chemist, Samuel Hahnemann, was intrigued by
his discovery that every remedy evoked a specific set of symptoms that
correlated to the symptoms of specific diseases. From this he devised the
" law of similars" proving that by administering diluted
quantities of remedies matching the symptoms of a patient, the patient's
symptoms would disappear. This DVD includes: Origins of HomeopathyThe 'law

Saddam And The Third Reich
Few people realize that the Baath party was actually formed
upon the principles and organizational structure of the Nazi party. Iraq,
because of its oil and hatred of Jews, was an important battleground between
the Axis and Allied powers in World War II. Nazi propaganda was broadcast
throughout Baghdad, and Iraqis often went on rampages against Jews
throughout the war. One of the most ardent Nazi supporters during WWII was
named Khairallah Talfah. Talfah was Saddam's uncle. After the war, many of
the key Iraqi Nazi supporters, all of whom evaded prosecution, wound up
involved in Saddam's rise to power. This special examines the key
individuals of the Iraqi-Nazi connection, the little-known battle for Iraq
in WWII, and the strange link to Saddam Hussein.
